Story - Experienced kindness (Literary Club Competition)

 The Homework Helper

In a small town school, Maria noticed her classmate Raj struggling silently. He was a refugee student who had recently arrived, barely understanding English, falling behind in every subject. While other students avoided him, Maria took a different path.

Every day after school, she would sit with Raj. Without judgment, she helped translate assignments, explained complex concepts, and practiced English together. Her patience wasn't just about homework - it was about making Raj feel welcome and valued.

Weeks passed. Raj's confidence grew. His grades improved. But more importantly, he found a friend who saw beyond language barriers. The school noticed their friendship and started a buddy program, inspired by Maria's simple act of compassion.

By year's end, Raj was no longer the quiet, isolated student. He was participating in class, making friends, and thriving academically. All because one student chose kindness over indifference.

Moral: Sometimes, the most powerful lessons aren't found in textbooks, but in human connection.
