இந்தியர்கள் ஆங்கிலத்தினைப் பயன்படுத்தும் போது செய்யும் பொதுவான தவறுகளும் , தீர்வுகளும்.

 இந்தியாவில் பரவலாக பேசப்படும் மொழி ஆங்கிலமாக இருந்த போதிலும் அதில் பொதுவாக நாம் தவறுதலாக செய்யும் தவறுகளையும் அதனைச் சரியாகப் பயன்படுத்தும் முறைகளையும் இங்கு காணலாம். 

 

1.

தவறானது: Myself I am Suresh babu.

சரியானது: I am Suresh babu.

தன்னைப் பற்றிய அறிமுகத்தின் போது இரு pronoun களை பயன்படுத்தக் கூடாது.

2.

தவறானது: I am having four brothers and three sisters.

சரியானது: I have four brothers and three sisters.

இது மாதிரியான நடைமுறைச் சூழல்களில் Simple present tense தான் பயன்படுத்த வேண்டும். Present continuous tense பயன்படுத்தக் கூடாது

தவறானது: He do not have a laptop.

சரியானது: He does not have a laptop.

He, She, It ஆகிய Subject களுக்குப் பின்னர் Do not என்பதனைப் பயன்படுத்தக் கூடாது.

4.

தவறானது: That only, she is very arrogant.

சரியானது: That was what I said. She is very arrogant.

"That only" என்பதனை ஏற்கனவே கூறியுள்ளார் என்பதனைக் கூறுவதற்கு பயன்படுத்தக் கூடாது.

5.

தவறானது: Last before year she got very good marks.

சரியானது: Year before last she got good marks.

Month before last, Day before last, Week before last இவ்வாறு பயன்படுத்துவதே சரியான முறையாகும்.

6.

தவறானது: He did not wrote the test last week.

சரியானது: He did not write the test last week.

'did' எனும் உதவி வினைச் சொல்லிற்குப் பிறகு present tense பயன்படுத்த வேண்டும்.

7.

தவறானது: I cannot cope up with this pressure.

சரியானது: I cannot cope with this pressure.

cope என்பதற்கு to manage என்று அர்த்தம். 'Cope' என்பதனைத் தொடர்ந்து 'with' எனும் preposition தான் வரவேண்டும். 'up' வரக் கூடாது.

தவறானது: I came to office by walk.

சரியானது: I came to office on foot.

"by car", "by bike", "by bus", "by train" and "by flight" எனக் கூறலாம் . ஆனால் நடந்து வருகின்ற போது on foot என்றுதான் பயன்படுத்த வேண்டும்.

9.

தவறானது: Our classroom is in the 2nd floor.

சரியானது: Our classroom is on the 2nd floor.

preposition , in க்குப் பதிலாக on தான் பயன்படுத்த வேண்டும்.

10.

தவறானது: The price of this mobile phone is higher than yours.

சரியானது: The price of this mobile phone is higher than that of yours.

இரு நபர்கள் மற்றும் பொருட்களை ஒப்பிடும் போது that எனும் pronoun பயன்படுத்த வேண்டும்.

11.

தவறானது: His son-in-laws have come home.

சரியானது: His sons-in-law have come home.

பன்மையாகப் பயன்படுத்து போது , mothers-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law என்று தான் பயன்படுத்த வேண்டும்.

12.

தவறானது: He has white hairs.

சரியானது: He has grey hair.

ஒருவருடைய தலையில் இருக்கும் முடிகள் எண்ணமுடியாமல் இருப்பதனால் hairs என பயன்படுத்தக் கூடாது.

13.

தவறானது: I prefer coffee than tea.

சரியானது: I prefer coffee to tea.

'Prefer' என்பதற்கு பின் 'to' எனும் preposition பயன்படுத்த வேண்டும்.
